Hurriya (Libertà)

Hurriya (Libertà)

£500.00Price

In this painting, the world is held between two different hands.
One is dark, marked by pain, history, and the violence humanity has inflicted and continues to inflict. The other is green, alive, rooted in the earth, in the possibility of healing.

The planet is fragile, suspended, and cannot be let to fall.

At the center, there is a child. Small, vulnerable, yet fully present.
She represents innocence that watches, that endures, that still hopes.
She is the part of us that continues to believe, even when everything around us is breaking, and she is the future. The one that can still be changed.

The word Peace is not decoration. It is a necessary declaration and a responsibility.
Beside it, the olive branch and the watermelon speak of a wounded yet living land of identity, resistance, and roots that no violence can erase.

Peace (and freedom) is not distant.
It is already here.
It lives in the hands we choose to use.

This painting was painted live during a cultural and art event in favour of Palestine in Italy.

It has been sold through auction to a lovely dad who gifted it to his little girl, to inspire her and to remind her that peace is a choice <3
